Workshops by professionals from the catering and hospitality industry played an important role during the two-day European Catering Conference. These workshops contributed to the objective of the European Party Caterer Association (EPCAS), which was the initiator of this European conference. The caterers had the opportunity to be inspired by professionals, like Arnaud Rannou (Mychefcom), Carl Sacks (UBM Catersource), Karel Klosse & Carl Rentes (Kokkerelli), Paul de Weger (Amplixs), Kasper Stuart (Taste!), Rob Baan (Koppert Cress), Jack van Messel (Van Messel Meat), Marie-Luise Weiss (The Cupconcept), Michael Wieler and Rob Bongers (Horeca Development), Charles Smith (At Your Service), Richard Haeck (Staffable) and Arjan de Boer (Shoot My Food).
All guest speakers were unique and presented their vision in their own way. The workshops offered a lot of variation: from the ‘Cressperience’ by Rob Baan to a master class by Carl Sacks, the ‘catering industry insider’ from America, from Arjan de Boer’s inspiring New Essentials for food to the development of a healthy snack by Jan Willem Bosman Jansen. All caterers were invited to attend all workshops and to switch between the several sessions. The exceptional quality of the content of the workshops and its diversity contributed to the overall experience of the European Catering Conference.
