"A
code of conduct is a set of rules outlining the responsibilities of or proper practices for an organization."
A code of conduct means the possibility for self-regulation to promote corporate social responsibility. It tells people how to behave, concerning ethics, values, norms, quality, hygiene etc. This sort of self-regulation can lead to adoption in legislation.
Such a code does not yet exist for the party catering industry, but can become very important to improve the quality in this business. Once you use this code, all the users have to comply with the rules. Together with a code of conduct it may be possible for EPCAS members to influence European policy.
As a condition precedent to admission to membership of EPCAS, candidates for membership shall agree in writing to abide by our EPCAS Code of Conduct. Failure to maintain compliance herewith shall be cause for expulsion of any member, following due process as provided in the bylaws of the association.
